Instruction – Step by step
Pre-treatment: cleaning
Clean all wood surfaces with Wood Cleaner before treatment with 01 Wood Protection. This also applies to newly pressure-impregnated wood. One bottle is sufficient for 125 m2 of pre-washing/heavy-duty cleaning or 250 m2 of maintenance cleaning.
- Brush away all loose dirt from the wood surface. Rinse with clean water.
- Shake well before use. Pour into a plastic container and dilute with water according to the instructions and depending on how dirty the wood surface is.
- Use a brush, mop or similar. Avoid high-pressure washing, as this may damage the wood.
- Rinse with water. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly.
Tip: Wash at least 24 hours before applying 01 Wood Protection.
Step 1: base coat
Apply 01 Wood Protection on dry, clean wood. Newly pressure-impregnated wood, pine or oak should be left to dry/air for 12 weeks before treatment. Avoid rain, dew or frost. Working temperature at least +10°C. Use approx. 1 litre for 8–10m2. Cover glass, metal and any other sensitive surfaces.
- Shake well before use. Pour desired amount into a plastic container.
- Apply in the direction of the wood’s grain using a brush or roller. One coat is sufficient. Do not use more fluid than the wood can absorb.
- Allow to dry for 6–10 hours. Any excess fluid may leave a white deposits that will disappear over time.
Step 2: top coat
Apply 02 Surface Protection on dry wood. Avoid rain, dew or frost. Working temperature at least +10°C. Use approx. 1 litre for 8–10m2.
- Shake well before use. Pour desired amount into a plastic container.
- Apply in the direction of the wood’s grain using a brush or roller. Do not use more fluid than the wood can absorb.
- Allow to dry for 2–4 hours.
In dry, good conditions, steps 1 and 2 can be completed on the same day.
