A patio or timber decking can easily be converted into an extra outdoor space in the summer. We grill, drink coffee, sunbathe and watch the children play. A variety of materials can be used to construct a patio. Many choose to use wood, which gives a softer and a greater sense of living than stone and then choose to build a timber deck.

Building a patio requires some preparations and it is important that you read our installation instruction or our decking guide before you start.

OrganoWood® modified decking timber is an environmentally classified and alternative to traditional pressure impregnated timber. All substances in the products from OrganoWood® are classified as environment-friendly according to the CLP Regulation (EC no. 1272/2008) and can be returned to the natural cycle. So the timber does not need to be recycled as environmentally hazardous waste, but can be recycled as untreated timber according to local regulations. OrganoWood offers an attractive, natural coloured decking timber with an efficient natural protection against the weather and wind. Our decking timber has been developed to fully cope with the prevalent conditions during installation above the ground. Application areas for OrganoWood® include timber decking, walkways, terraces and patios in outdoor spaces. The timber decking is naturally coloured from the outset and over time takes on a beautiful silver grey shade.

In addition, the modification gives the wood a hard and fine surface that improves the life of the decking. The raw material comes from the best pine district in Sweden.

Decking guide for those who wish to build a patio

Plan the area where you intend to lay the decking, set out strings and consider it.
